Dear Wink,
Thank you very much for all of your integrity, patience, courtesy, and assistance while helping
me to design a wonderful piece of custom jewelry for my wife. Since I live very close to the large
metro areas of Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, I assumed it would be easy to find a local custom
jeweler.
Well, after more than two years of looking locally before I happened to find you, I
had not found anyone acceptable for making heirloom-quality, custom jewelry. By chance one
day, I stumbled onto your website while searching for loose gemstones on the world wide web. To say
the least, I was impressed by the quality of the work displayed on your website, especially the
magnificent stone-cutting work of Richard Homer. Having already had years of very positive
experiences buying products via the internet, I decided to give you a call.
Well, that was one of the smartest phone calls I ever made. Within fifteen minutes of speaking with you,I was able
to get more information and cover more ground on the aspects, costs, and expectations of custom
jewelry than all of my previous conversations with local jewelers combined. You certainly know your
stuff when it comes to the jewelry business, especially custom jewelry. I very much appreciate
how frank and candid you were in all of our phone and email conversations.
Whenever I had questions
and concerns, you provided me with pluses, minuses, and tradeoffs of different approaches and
helped to steer me in one direction or another based on my needs and desires. Most importantly,
you encouraged me to make my own decisions, rather than trying to push me one way or another. For
that, I am very grateful.
What can I say about the final product I ended up
with except "Wow!". The results exceeded my highest expectations. I would even go so far as to
say that the results exceeded my wildest expectations. Maybe best of all, going through the
custom jewelry design process from start to finish has been a great learning experience with you by
my side.
I found it interesting, intriguing, and exciting to choose my gemstone, have the gemstone
cut from the rough by Richard Homer in Ohio, have the setting designed by Randy in Arizona, and
finally to have the setting made and the gemstone fitted by another person in California. All the
while, you effectively acted as my general contractor in Idaho.
I am impressed. I have to
mention the process of Randy designing a custom setting and submitting it to me for approval. I
never expected to be presented with a 3D model of the setting, with an accurate representation of my
gemstone in it, that I could view with a Web browser and rotate in any direction through 360
degrees. Once again, what can I say except "Wow!". I expected black and white drawings of the
proposed setting but instead received a full-color, 3D model. The process was so
impressive that I would not want to do it again any other way.
So, once again, thank you. I look forward to doing future business with you, Wink. I wish everyone in
business was as easy and enjoyable to deal with as you.
Sincerely,
Peter Szydlo
